Evelyn Joan Badger

"Monson, Evelyn J. Badger, 77, died peacefully with her family by her side on June 17, 2013 at UMASS Memorial Hospital. One of 15 children, she was born on November 12, 1935, she was the daughter of Frank and Lucy Turner. She has resided in Monson for the past eight years, previsously living in Belchertown. She worked as a CNA for the Belchertown State School for many years. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, bird watching and camping with her family. She will be forever missed by her two sons, Glenn Johnson and his wife Sherry with whom she lived, Ronald Johnson of Somers CT, and her daughter in law, Pam Johnson of Palmer, along with 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her sons Fred Ice, Jeffrey Johnson, Sr. and Edwin Johnson preceded her in death. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by burial in Four Corners Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. "
