"S. Hadley- Frances F. (Rudolph) Reed, 88, of Pershing Ave. passed away July 31 at Wingate at South Hadley. Born June 1, 1917 in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Olympe (Rainaud) Rudolph. Frances has lived in South Hadley since 1948, previously residing in Holyoke. She worked at Spaulding in Springfield from 1936-1941, Springfield Ordinance in 1943, and retired from the Herbarium in Chicopee in 1989 after working there for 10 years. Frances was a member of the Holyoke Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1972. She had a multitude of interests and natural curiosity. Frances is survived by her children, Janet Rubiano of Auburn Dale, NY, Kathleen Pysz of Northampton, Robert Jr., of S. Harwich, MA, Philip of San Diego, CA, Mark of Greenville, S.Carolina, and Debbie Blanchard of S.Hadley. She also leaves two brothers Kenneth Rudolph of Philadelphia, PA, Ralph Rudolph of Charlton, NY, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rte 116). A funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Burial will be in Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to South Hadley Council on Aging, 45 Dayton St., S.Hadley, MA 01075. "
