"Chicopee-Francisco "Frank" Torres, Jr., 48, of Memorial Dr. passed away February 26, 2010 at home with his family by his side. Born in Springfield, MA on October 20, 1961, Frank is the son of Francisco, Sr. and Lydia Torres of Chicopee. Graduating from Holyoke High, class of 1979, he went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. For 15 years, Frank was a mix room operator at Rexham Graphics, the former James River Graphics in S.Hadley. Frank enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan for many years of the New Orleans Saints and enjoyed their super bowl victory. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 17 years Ann (Zajac). He also leaves his mother along with his sister Lydia Torres, her husband Edwin Ortiz and their children Eric and Genevieve of Chicopee, and uncle Arturo Torres and his wife Lighia, aunts Carmen and Elba Torres. Frank will also be missed by Ann's family, her father Edward Zajac and siblings Sr. Cathy Zajac SSJ, Mary Zajac, Karin Zajac, Thomas Zajac and Carol Weymouth. Frank also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and furry friend, Honeynut. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rte 116) with a funeral mass to follow at St. Jerome's Church in Holyoke on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to gather Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice. "
