Helena D. Keller

"Belchertown, Helena D. Keller, 95, formerly of Franklin Street died November 17 at Palmer Health Care Center. Born in Boston, April 27, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Exilda (Duquette) Poirier. Mrs. Keller lived in Belchertown since 1940 and worked at the former Belchertown State School. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Keller in 1993, her daughter Carol Cook in 2001 along with a son Frederick in 1952. She is survived by two sons Armand L. of Belchertown and Gerald R. of Westwood, along with a sister Clarise Fox of NC, and Annette Felton of Wales, and her two brothers, Real and Leonard Poirier of Brimfield. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in S.t Bartholomew’s Church in Bondsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
