Herbert Martin

"Herbert Martin, 79, died on Sunday, January 3, 2010. He was born and lived most of his life in New York City where he taught science for over 35 years at Brandeis High School and at Seward Park High School. In recent years, he resided at East Village Place in East Longmeadow, MA. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his daughter, Amy Martin, his son-in-law, Daniel Weinbaum, and his beloved grandsons, Aidan and Jude, who will miss their pop-pop greatly. He also leaves his niece, Nancy Lee Martin. Herb was predeceased by his brother, William Martin. Calling hours will take place at Beers and Story Funeral Home in South Hadley on Wednesday, January 6, beginning at 5pm with a memorial service at 6:30pm. He will be buried with his family at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Long Island, New York on Thursday, January 7.
