Irene F. Vacon

"Monson - Irene F. (Pottier) Vacon , 86, of Hampden Ct. passed away July 15, 2013 at Quaboag on the Common. Born July 13, 1927 in Malden, MA, she was the daughter of Joseph P. and Anna F. (Dulong) Pottier. Living in Monson for most of her life, in 1976, Irene moved to Nova Scotia and returned to Monson in 1995. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis in 1987 and will be missed by her children, Donald Vacon and wife Diane of Monson, Louis Vacon and wife Patricia of Monson, and Anna and husband Joseph Berthiaume of Ware along with two brothers Dennis and James Pottier of Nova Scotia and three grandchildren, Carrie, Monique, and Dennis. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one and brother and two sisters. Visitation is Saturday July 20th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Visitation, mass and burial will take place in Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monson Lions Club."
