"Palmer, Josephine (A. (Zajac) Les, 88, of South Main St, died peacefully on Monday, July 15, surrounded by her family. Born in Palmer, December 16, 1924, she was the daughter of Martin and Antonina (Marusinski) Zajac and has lived in Palmer all of her life. She was a devoted employee of Jarvis East for 10 years, retiring in 1989. Besides her parents, her husband Adolph S. Les preceded her in death in 1974, along with her brothers Stanley, Frank, John and Henry Zajac. She will be deeply missed by her 2 sons, Albin Les and his wife Catherine , and Paul Les and his wife Theresa all of Palmer. She also leaves her 4 precious grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Amanda and Andrew Les. Additionally, her siblings, Helen Wytas (Raymond) of Stafford Springs, CT. and Edward Zajac (Mary) of Palmer, along with sisters in laws Anne Zajac of Monson, Sally Olearczyk of Three Rives and Irene Christiansen of Palmer and many nieces and nephews also survive her. Funeral services will be Friday, July 19 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. (Rte. 20) followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Church. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
