In Loving Memory

Larry Davis, aged 73, of Belchertown, MA, passed away peacefully early on December 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 13, 1952, in Plymouth, MA, Larry moved to and lived in Belchertown for forty-five years.

The son of Warren and Ruth Davis, Larry grew up in Plymouth, graduated from Plymouth High School, and later attained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bridgewater State College.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Russell Davis. He is survived by Bonnie Prindle, his beloved wife of 47 years; his daughter Julia and her husband Mark, his son Jack and his wife Cristina; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha, and Theodore. He also leaves behind his two brothers, Richard and his wife Debbie, Bill and his wife Beth, and his close cousin Carol.

His career entailed working as a Health Inspector at UMass Amherst for over thirty years. Beyond work, Larry was a man of many hobbies. He enjoyed windsurfing in Hatteras, North Carolina, was an avid fitness enthusiast and a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots. After his retirement, he expanded his hobbies greatly, enjoying all things outdoors. This included hiking throughout New England, kayaking on the Swift River, biking, and of course pickleball. Larry was one of the early supporters of pickleball in Belchertown and served as a coach, fundraiser, and town hall “lobbyist” to bring pickleball courts to Belchertown. Larry was also a longtime member of the Belchertown United Church of Christ, where he served on a number of committees and frequently volunteered his time.

Larry was always known for his eternal optimism and personal motto “Life is Good,” and this continued throughout his battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was aways eager to carry on a conversation with whomever happened to be in his presence, and as a result he had many friends from all over.

Larry’s family will hold private services.
