"Brimfield - Lucyna Twarowska, 87, died on September 15, 2016 in Southbridge. Born February 24, 1929 in Poland, she was the daughter of Jan and Aniela Wroblewski and lived there until 1965. She lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Brimfield in 1993. Lucyna worked as a seamstress for Bottaro Skolnik Furniture in Springfield for many years and was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield. She was known for her beautiful gardens, her green thumb, and her wonderful Polish cooking. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 65 years, Stanislaw Twarowski of Brimfield, along with her children Lester Twarowski and wife Meg of Brimfield, Walter Twarowski and wife Ann of Brimfield, Regina Kesterson and husband Ron of Vancouver, WA. She also leaves 6 precious grandchildren; Diane, Mark, Jisell, Jason, Kyle and Kathleen , along with and 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Church followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home for 9:00 a.m. or meet directly at the church. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte 20). For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to St. Christopher's Church, PO Box 387, Brimfield, 01010. "
