Michael J. Bemis

"Belchertown-Michael J. Bemis, 55, passed away of a aneurysm on September 11, 2016. He was born September 19, 1960 in Ware and grew up in Springfield. After graduation, he went in the Air Force. For the past 38 years, he has been an electrician and currently was working as a electrical estimator at Goodless Electric in West Springfield. He loved a lot life had to offer from fishing to kayaking, biking, hiking, and his motorcycle, which he got on his 50th birthday. His greatest passion was his family and friends. Michael leaves behind Tina Stone, her daughters, Tanya and Megan, a granddaughter Annabelle and many beloved pets. He will also be dearly missed by his mom, Florence Bemis Lopes and Reggie Adair as well as a brother, Walter Smith and his wife Laura, and a sister, Mary and her husband Mike Posusky, a niece Jessica, a great niece Jordan and extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Earl Smith. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with a service to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. "
