"Granby- Paul H. Piquette, 83, of Granby passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicopee on October 4, 1932 he was the son of the late Frederick and Rhea (Duval) Piquette. Paul was a member of Local #1 in Springfield for 61 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and he loved playing cards with his family. Paul leaves his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Domingue) Piquette; his four sons, Paul Piquette and his wife Diane of Granby, David Piquette and his wife Amy of Granby, Brian Piquette and his wife Lisa of Belchertown, and Eric Piquette and his wife Michele of Chicopee; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Lamb, Paul Piquette, Jenny Malave, Quincy Piquette, Hilary Piquette, Monique Piquette, and Eric Piquette Jr; one great-grandchild, Avery Lamb; two sisters, Lauria Demers and Connie Huggins; and two brothers, Rene and Donald Piquette. Paul was predeceased by his brother Frederick. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10am at Beers and Story Funeral Home, 646 Newton St, South Hadley. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 4-7pm. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 256 State St, Granby, MA 01033 or to Noble Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services, 77 Mill St, Suite 201, Westfield, MA 01085. "
