"Ludlow - Philip H. Reardon, 97, a resident of keystone commons and husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, colleague, marine, and son, passed away at home on August 14, 2016. He was born May 31, 1919 in Holyoke, MA, to Philip and Mary (Gallagher) Reardon. Philip proudly served his country during WWII with the 6th Marine division where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. His military service continued for four more decades through service in the air national guard and the army national guard. As a professional, he retired from the VA Hospital in Leads as a recreational therapist after working for 35 years. Philip had lived most of his life in South Hadley and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (LaVallee) Reardon in 2001. He will be deeply missed by two children and their families; Bonnie Quenneville and her husband Gene Quenneville of S.Hadley and Wayne Reardon and his wife Carol Reardon of Cornwall, PA. He also leaves a granddaughter Wendi Cocchi, her husband Nick Cocchi and 3 great grandsons Owen, Max and Sam of Ludlow, MA. Grandson Chad Quenneville, his wife Beverly Quenneville and 3 great grandchildren Tanner, Alexa, and Gavin of Gulf Breeze, FL. Grandson Sean Reardon, his wife Danielle Reardon and great granddaughter Ashley of Atlanta Ga. And youngest Grandson, Todd Reardon of New York City, NY. Calling hour will be held on Friday, Aug. 19th from 9:30-10:30 a.m at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m at St. Patrick's Church and burial in St. Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital."
