"Palmer, Richard A. Mundel, 65, of Quaboag Valley Coop died March 31. Born in Southbridge, December 26, 1944, the son of Arnold W. and Theresa (Baron) Mundel, and raised by Irving C. Mundell. Richard grew up there and has lived in Palmer for many years. He retired from Chase Precast in N. Brookfield in 2006 after many years of service. A proud veteran, he served his country in the Navy during Vietnam. He will be deeply missed by his wife Martha (Medicke), along with his children Richard I. Mundel of Palmer and Sherry Carpenter of Hawley, and grandchildren Christopher and Jennifer Charbonneau and Richard J. Mundel. Martha’s children Stephen W. and Timothy Fuller and Doland Sylvia also survive him. He also leaves siblings Bonnie Tkatz of W. Brookfield, Marsha Mundell of VA, Eileen Deforges of Chicopee, Don I. Mundell and Kenneth Mundell both of Warren, as well as many nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be Tuesday, April 6 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a service to remember his life at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Four Corners Cemetery. "
