Richard L. Robinson

"Belchertown, Richard Louis Robinson, 68, died Tuesday, March 16. Born in Ware, October 12, 1941, he was the son of Helen (Leczynski) Robinson with whom he lived and Clarence Robinson (1990). Richard grew up in Belchertown and lived for 17 years in Dunstable, MA, prior to returning to Belchertown in 1987. A veteran of the US Army serving in Korea during peace time, he was a proud patriot. He was a graduate of UMASS Amherst in 1966. During his working career, he was a longtime sales person for H.K. Webster and Blue Seal Feeds in Lawrence, MA. An avid baseball fan, Rich was an umpire for area high school and little league teams. A loving father, he is survived by a son Michael Robinson and his wife Ann of Nashua, NH, daughter Diane Robinson of Westford, along with two grandsons, Kenny and Timmy Robinson. Along with his mother, Helen, he leaves a brother Clarence, Jr. and his wife Carol of Belchertown, as well as a niece Linda Mitchell and nephew Stephen Robinson, both of Belchertown. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 18 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St, (Rte 202). Friends and family may gather Friday at the funeral home with a mass to follow in St. Francis Church. Time is pending. "
