Rita B. Belanger

"Belchertown - Rita B. (Bouchard) Belanger , 81, of Stebbins St. died on December 25, 2009. She was born July 19, 1928 in Indian Orchard, MA, daughter of the late Rene A and Eva (Morin) Bouchard. Rita retired from Monarch Life Insurance Company. Being an avid sports fan, Rita enjoyed hockey, football and had a great passion for reading. She is survived by her nieces Denise Cook and Sandra Foote and husband Bruce and thier daughter Maegan, all of Belchertown along with Judith Cook of Westfield, Patricia Roberts, Linda Carnevale and nephews Richard and Kenneth Bousquet and their extended family. Rita also leaves her sister Jeanne Bousquet and her husband Arthur of NC along with best friend, Pauline Johnson and her two cats, Snap and Wuss. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Belanger in 1971, her sister, Sylvia Cook in 2007 and companion A.Butch Bouchard in 1999. Services will be held at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard, MA. Calling hours will be Monday, December 28, 2009 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, Belchertown, MA.
