"Belchertown- Thaddeus O. Bodzinski, 91, of Belchertown passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. Born in Chicopee on March 18, 1925 he was the son of the late John and Helen (Plejznarowicz) Bodzinski. Thaddeus served in the United States Army and worked as machinist for Zero Manufacturing. He was a founding member and First Commander of the VFW in Belchertown. Thaddeus was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan and enjoyed Bingo and trips to the casino. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Alice (Heath) Bodzinksi in 2001. Thaddeus leaves his son, John L. Bodzinski of Belchertown; his two daughters, Lynn Berthiaume and her husband Joseph of Belchertown and Lori St. George and her partner Michael Ciejka of Hardwick; three grandchildren, Jennifer Snipe of Burlington, Andrew St. George of Monson, and Timothy St. George of New Braintree; four great-grandchildren, Mackayla, Bentley, and Quentin St. George, and Lily Snipe; and two sisters, Sophie Brown of Barre and Genevieve Klaus of Agawam. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11am at Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by burial in South Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 -11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Please visit beersandstory.com. "
