"Palmer, William F. Dubuque, 83, of Breckenridge St., died peacefully surrounded by family on September 10 at his home. Born in Palmer, July 6, 1930, he was the son of Ronald and Winifred (Smith) Dubuque. A lifelong resident, he was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. During his working career, he was a manufacturing supervisor for Rathbone Corp., retiring after 40 years. He enjoyed travel and the challenge of playing computer and card games. An animal lover, he spent many hours taking his dog, Murphy, for rides and walks. His greatest joy in life was being surrounded by family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Gannon) Dubuque in 1997. He will be deeply missed by his children, William R. and wife Diane with whom he lived, Deborah Delvecchio and husband Leonard of Clarks Summit, PA, and Mark and wife Jeanne of W. Springfield. He also leaves siblings, Ronald of Corpus Christi, TX and Rosemarie Dubuque of Palmer, along with his 6 precious grandchildren, Dawn, Bill, Erick, Frank, Michael and Steven, 8 cherished great grandchildren and dear friend Evelyn Banach. Calling hours will be Sunday, September 15 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte 20). Funeral services will be Monday at 9:15 from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10:00 in the church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
