Carol Robertson Szwed

Carol Robertson Szwed, 75, of Palmer, passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born on November 9, 1950, in Weymouth, MA, to the late John and Barbara (Lewis) Robertson.

Carol dedicated nearly two decades of her career as an executive secretary at Friendly's before transitioning to Hasbro, where she worked for almost another 20 years until her retirement. In her leisure time, Carol enjoyed working in the kitchens at Pulaski Park alongside her husband.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, David Robertson. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Jan Szwed, with whom she shared a loving partnership for 41 years. She leaves behind her siblings, Donald and his wife Susan Robertson, Joann Thistle, and Martha Sullivan; sister-in-law, Janice and her husband Carl Cederquist; brother-in-law, Michael Szwed and his wife Patricia Oney; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Services will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory can be made to either Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
