Monson- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our dearest Ronald G. "Ron" Hess Sr., who passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on February 27, 2025. Ron was born on June 4, 1941, in Westfield, MA, to his loving parents George and Pat (Gough) Hess, who have since passed on.

Ron was a beloved fiancé, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of all who knew him. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and his warm presence will be profoundly missed. Ron's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will forever be remembered and cherished by his family and friends.

Ron dedicated many years of his life to his work as an insurance agent, first with Metropolitan Insurance Company for 25 years, and later with Dodson Group Insurance for 20 years until his well-deserved retirement. His work ethic, integrity, and passion for helping others have left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with him.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Ron was a man of many passions. His love for motorcycles, music and photography was evident in all aspects of his life. He found true joy in spending time riding his motorcycle, camping, playing his guitar, singing around the campfire, fishing, and creating beautiful memories with his loved ones and friends.

Ron is survived by his devoted fiancé of 35 years, Brenda Lovell; his daughters, Karen Hess and Tammy Sandomierski, and son-in-law Tommy; his daughter-in-law Tracy Hess; his cherished grandchildren, Katrina, Caroline, Colin, Caitlyn, and Kade; and his adored great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Bentley and Amelia. Ron was predeceased by his parents, George and Pat, and his son, Ron Hess, Jr. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Ron's life will take place on March 11, 2025, from 4-7pm at the Beers & Story Funeral Home in Palmer, with a funeral service following the next morning at 10am. Ron will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson.
