September 26, 1962 — April 24, 2024
Palmer, MA – Tammy A. (Orluk) Piechota, 61, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2024, in the comfort of her home. A lifelong proud Palmer resident and Palmer High School graduate; Tammy was born on September 26, 1962, to Bronislaw “Benny” and Agnes (Dorsey) Orluk. Tammy served the town of Palmer as a front-line dispatcher for nearly 20 years before being promoted to Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police, totaling 39 years of tireless dedication to the service of her town. When she wasn’t working, she was spending time surrounded by friends and family who loved her unconditionally. She loved the beach (especially Cape Cod, cruisin’ the dunes of Sandy Neck with Frank), animals (of all shapes and sizes), good music (along with the occasional dance move) and scrapbooking. Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Francis “Frank” Piechota (Palmer), her son Michael Piechota and wife Molly Pulchtopek (Ware), her son Alex Piechota and girlfriend Adrienne Paniagua (Laguna Niguel, CA). She will also be deeply missed by her sister Cynthia Orluk-Gilmore (Palmer), brother-in-laws John Piechota Jr. (Bondsville) and Michael Piechota (Wales), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Aside from her parents, Tammy was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Alice and John Piechota Sr., as well as her brother-in-law, John Gilmore and sister-in-law, Nancy Piechota (Hoffey). Without a doubt, Tammy was greeted at the gates by all of her beloved pets of years’ past. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Church in Palmer.
