Saylor Paige Eady

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Saylor Paige Eady, who left this world far too soon on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Boston Children's Hospital after her recent diagnosis with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a highly aggressive brain tumor. Born on July 31, 2020, in Springfield, MA, Saylor was a vibrant and spirited five-year-old who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met.

Residing in South Hadley, Massachusetts, Saylor was a kindergarten student at Henry J. Skala Elementary School. She loved attending school and, with her outgoing and friendly nature, quickly made many friends. Saylor was known for her love of Taylor Swift, dancing, unicorns, art, and playing soccer with her friends. Her joyful spirit, infectious giggles, and free-spirited personality brought happiness and light to everyone around her.

Saylor shared a special bond with her little brother, Thomas, who admirably stepped into the role of Big Brother during her battle. Together, they share a bond that was irreplaceable. He was her steadfast protector and cheerleader, and together they enjoyed playing jokes and sharing laughter, all the while she reminded him of her status as the older sibling.

Saylor's memory will forever be cherished by her loving parents, Alexandra Eady and Ethan Eady, and her cherished brother, Thomas. Her maternal grandparents, affectionately known as PMA and PPA, Pam and Gary White, along with her paternal grandmother, Gammie, Linda LaVoie, and paternal grandfather, Grandpa Pat, and GMA, Patrick Eady and Celinda Woo, will hold her memory close to their hearts. She is also survived by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

Saylor's outgoing, energetic light as well as her laughter and princess power will be treasured by all who knew her. She was beautiful, strong, and incredibly brave. She faced every challenge with a strength that inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her time with us was far too short, she filled the lives of so many with love, joy, and unforgettable memories.

As we gather to celebrate Saylor's life, we invite family and friends to wear bright, colorful attire in honor of the vibrant spirit and joy Saylor brought to everyone who knew her. Visitation for Saylor will be held on Monday, July 20, from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Magic for Maddie in honor of Saylor. Magic for Maddie is dedicated to funding research for DIPG and supporting families facing pediatric brain cancer, ensuring that Saylor's legacy helps bring hope to other children and families.
