Deloris Maxine Lange

On Valentine's Day, DeLoris and Don were reunited. DeLoris passed away peacefully at Dominican Hospital with Rich and Gail by her side. DeLoris joined her dancing partner and husband of 60 years, who preceded her in 2007. Born to Alphonse and Oglare Berger in Lincoln, Nebraska , she moved to California in her early adult hood. DeLoris worked as a school secretary for 25 years, and after raising their two children, Rich and Diane in Los Gatos, CA, she and Don moved to Modesto, CA. After retirement, Don and Dee had many cruise adventures with their best friends George and Katherine Rawson. They also enjoyed being "snow birds", leaving the day after Christmas and returning in March from Palm Springs, CA. But most of all, they enjoyed dancing, and she said she felt like she was dancing before she drifted off, and now, on Valentine's Day, she has her partner back. DeLoris is survived by; her son Rich Lange (Gail); her sister Jan Luc; her nieces Arlene Kellas and Tracy Koskin; and her nephews Pat Young and Ben Young. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Lange and her daughter Diane Lange Tait in 2010 A Funeral Mass will be held for DeLoris on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Pacific Gardens Chapel (1050 Cayuga St. Santa Cruz, CA 95062) beginning at 2:00 p.m., a visitation will take place an hour prior to the beginning of the service.
