Mary Lou Janet Williams
April 26, 1934 — September 11, 2010
MaryLou Williams April 26,1934 ? September 11,2010 After a courageous battle with cancer and later a stroke, MaryLou Williams (LaVoy) passed away peacefully at home in Soquel with her family by her side. MaryLou was born in Chicago, and later moved to San Jose CA with her family. She went on one date with Leonard Williams before he proposed to her the next day. She happily excepted, and they shared 52 years together always by each other?s side. Family was always her top priority, and a source of enjoyment. She created a strong family with lots of love and laughter. MaryLou loved painting with watercolors and during her battle with cancer she painted her way back to health. She wasn't able to paint after her stroke, but still found a way to play games and laugh with her family. MaryLou was a devout Catholic and worked for St Josephs church for many years. Her faith was always a source of strength and comfort for her and wisdom for those who needed her help. She is survived by her husband Leonard Williams, their five children, Chuck, Den, Jim, Suzanne and Scott, and by their 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Rick LaVoy and his family. Her loving nature and her easy laugh will be greatly missed. Due to other medical issues in the family there will not be a Memorial service, instead you may send remembrances to Leonard Williams at 13 Del Rio Circle Soquel CA 95073.
