Patrick David Totaro
Patrick David Totaro passed away March 2, 2011 at his home in Corralitos with his wife and family by his side. He was 86.
Patrick was born on January 26, 1925 in San Jose, California, the son of John and Teresa (Benevento) Totaro. He grew up in San Jose and was a graduate of San Jose High School. He served as a corporal in the Army Air Corps during World War Two. Patrick had a long career as a salesman for Joseph George and Rathjen Distributors.
He was very committed and a generous contributor to the Sisters of the Poor Clares and regularly attended Mass at the St Joseph's Monastery of Poor Clares. Patrick was known to pursue any endeavor with passion and enthusiasm. He enjoyed playing golf in his younger years and more recently enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy M. Totaro; daughter, Patrice M. Martin and her husband, Michael B. Martin; sister, Tess Santana and his granddaughter, Megan C. Martin. He is also survived by four nieces and six nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Monastery of Poor Clares, 1671 Pleasant Valley Rd, Corralitos, CA on Friday March 11 at 11:00 am. Arrangements are by Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. Please visit www.pacificgardenschapel.com to light a candle or express your condolences to Patrick's family.
