Ryan Cole Evans
August 25, 1992 — October 8, 2024
Love you forever, Like you for always...
With profound sorrow, we share the heartbreaking news that our beloved Ryan passed away suddenly on Oct. 8, 2024. Born in San Diego and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, Ryan attended Gault and DeLaveaga Elementary, Branciforte Middle, Harbor and Santa Cruz High, and Berkeley City College.
Ryan was an avid sports fan whose lifelong love for Bay Area teams brought him hours of joy. In work and sports, he ventured out to SF (Giants), Oakland (Raiders and Warriors), and eventually NY (Rangers). Ryan collected many friends in life and through his work on production sets, in real estate, and in some of the finest restaurants and bars. He discovered cooking and refined his home chef skills—though he always said his mom’s cooking was best.
Ryan was the happiest in the city or planning adventures, and for the last 7 years, fully embodied living the NYC lifestyle. He loved going to games, concerts, comedy shows, restaurants, and giving friends the city tour. He was a liberal with a strong sense of justice and was passionate about politics. He was also a fashion enthusiast who insisted on cuffed skinny jeans. He loved spending time with family, his girlfriend, and walking his little dog through Central Park. Ryan's sparkly smile and sharp sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother Jennifer, his stepdad Kevin, his sisters Jacqueline and Juliette; his girlfriend, Jenna; and his dog Buster.
A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held on: Saturday, December 7th, at 11 a.m. at Benito & Azzaro, Santa Cruz, CA.Memorial benches will be erected in Central Park, NY and in Santa Cruz, CA. Donations can be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
