September 9, 1946 — March 5, 2017
Sandra Springer Passwaiter passed away surrounded by family, on March 5th, 2017, at Stanford Hospital in Santa Clara, after a 7 month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was 70 years old.
Sandra was born in Honolulu, HI, to her mother and father, Blanch and Richard Johnson. She and Kim have lived in various places such as Lake Tahoe, Cabo San Lucas, and finally settled in Santa Cruz. She was an avid sailor and sailed in every Wednesday Night Santa Cruz Beer Can race she could. She liked to workout at her local spa 3 to 4 times a week and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Sandra worked as an AutoCad drafter for Steve Elmore Architect and left her mark on many buildings in Santa Cruz County.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Kim Passwaiter, Her brothers, George and Robert Johnson, and her sister, Sharon. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Johnson.
There will be a Scattering Service on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, (Sandra's 71st Birthday) on the O'Neill Catamaran (seating will be limited). There will also be a Celebration of Life after the Scattering Service, with a location to be determined.
