Almeda "Meda" R. Kenyon, 85, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
Born May 20, 1928 in Detroit, MI she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Almeda Bennett Monfils.
Meda worked at the Palace Diner in Gloversville for over 32 years and always put a smile on her customer's faces. She loved her family, her pets and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Meda also enjoyed bowling and ceramics.
Survivors include her son Mark Kenyon (Carol) of Guilderland; two daughters Sandra Frank and Kathryn Bovee ( Andrew Snyder) both of Gloversville; brother Clifford Monfils (Helen) of Mayfield; son- in-law Tony Polenski (Rose) of Gloversville; six grandchildren Tammy Walker (Paul) of Waterford, MI, John Rose (Marie), Kelly Rose, Traci Polenski (Rodger Smith), Brad and Ryan Kenyon. Meda is also survived by five great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Clyde S. Kenyon, Jr; daughter Victoria Polenski; grandson Christopher Polenski and granddaughter Tiffany Gosselin
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Meda's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice 108 Steele Avenue Gloversville, NY 12078.
