Andrew Stamatakis, 58, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born on July 30, 1966, in Pireas, Greece, a son of the late Konstantinos and Stamatina (Stefanou) Stamatakis.
Andrew graduated from Amsterdam High School and was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1984-1986.
Andrew is survived by his longtime companion, Laurie Rusnica; son, James Stamatakis (Xrysakisinh); brother, William Stamatakis; grandchildren, Andreana and Demetria and Laurie’s children, Daniel Taber (Elizabeth) and their daughter, Piper and Steven Taber.
In keeping with Andrew’s wishes, no formal service will be held at this time.
