Bethany Marie Sweet, 26, a 2014 graduate of Broadalbin Perth High School, born December 27, 1994 in Hartford CT; entered into eternal life Wednesday April 7, 2021.
Bethany is survived by her loving parents Charles John Sweet, Jr; and Cheryl (Paul) Sweet of Broadalbin, her brother Charles John Sweet III Trey (Audra) of Mississippi. Bethany leaves behind several uncles, aunts, cousins, 2nd cousins, and her fur babies. Bethany was engaged to Joseph Colby of Gloversville, NY the love of her life. Bethany is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Charles John Sweet, Sr; and Diane (Proctor) Sweet, and maternal grandparents Fay Mason, and Reba (Flewelling) Paul.
Bethany enjoyed shopping, watching movies, working at Lexington, spending time at the family camp with aunts, uncles, cousins, and her grandparents. She loved to get away to her “Happy Place” the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, NY; one week a summer where she made friends, and touched lives for over 13 years. The staff always adored her smile and willingness to help others as challenged as herself.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Thursday April 15, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will take place on Friday at the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Paul family plot of the Edinburg Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required at all services.
In lieu of flowers contribution in memory of Bethany can be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
