Betty Zeno
December 25, 1928 — January 29, 2014
Betty Zeno, 85, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Albany Medical Center Hospital with her family at her side.
Born in Arkansas on December 25, 1928, daughter of the late William
and Cora Hart Collins, she was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Schools. Betty was married to Dominic Zeno who passed away in May 1987.
Survivors include her two dear sons, Douglas Judy Zeno of Stillwater, and David Heidi Zeno of Amsterdam; two brothers James Dorothy Collins and Charles Collins, of North Carolina; cherished grandchildren, Korinne Zeno, David Zeno, Cristyn David Hartson, Jennifer Michael Cassidy; great grandchildren, Jackson Cassidy, Alexis and Sophia Hartson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Collins, and a sister, Margaret Collins.
Betty lived in Amsterdam for most of her life but most recently,
resided at Delmar Place in Delmar, NY. Mrs. Zeno was employed at the Amsterdam printing and Litho Co for many years. Later, she worked at the General Electric Company as a data entry specialist in Schenectady.
She was a woman of faith and was a former member of Perth Bible
Church.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, February 1, from 10:30 to 11:30am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. 12010. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30A.M. Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Jane Sanford Home for Elderly Women of Montgomery County, Inc., 69 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
