Edward H. Owens

Edward H. Owens, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Edward was born January 20, 1953, son to the late Henry and Florence Owens. He was the loving partner/husband/friend to the late Dawn Rose Crawford.

After graduating from high school, Edward enlisted in the United States Navy where he served proudly until his honorable discharge. He went on to be a lifelong mechanic, always fixing or tinkering with something.... Edward spent his years in many different mechanical fields including car mechanics, hvac and many others. In his later years he went back to school and received his hvac certification from the Universal Technical Institute as an hvac technician.

Edward loved the time he spent with his family and friends. From back yard barbecues to spoiling his grandchildren Edward was a family man through and through. He was an avid rock collector who spent his time learning how to cut stones and building the machines to do so. His love of games and sense of wonder will forever be unforgettable.

Edward is survived by his daughters, Sherri A. Owens and Carrie E. Owens; His brother William “Billy” Owens; and his grandchildren McKenzie, Kimberly, Erin and April.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, New York 12010. A military committal service will follow at 1:00pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, New York.
