Emil W. Suda Jr.

Emil W. Suda, Jr., age 73, of Amsterdam, passed away  March 26, 2026 at his home. He was born August 11, 1952 in Amsterdam, where he would reside his entire life.

Emil was a historian for Amsterdam. He had a passion for old theaters, movies, and old-time actors. He was a train enthusiast; he was a collector and enjoyed going to train shows. He enjoyed time spent with family and reminiscing on old times.

He had several jobs throughout his life, the most recent was American Greetings, where he made many close friends and enjoyed going to various stores to distribute greeting cards. He also worked for Curran Interiors, taking pride in installing blinds and draperies.

Emil is survived by several cousins and many friends whose hearts he touched.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emil W. Suda, Sr. and Marion Maribito Suda.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. A service will take place at 3 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery, Amsterdam, where Emil will be laid to rest with his parents.
