Florence Bell

Florence "Flo" Bell, a lifelong resident of Fonda, NY died peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was 96. Born on August 23, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennia Carbone Aldi. She attended local schools and was employed as a waitress for Isabel's Restaurant in Amsterdam for many years. Flo will be remembered as a giving individual who loved to cook and enjoyed her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her loving family includes her son, Michael Pelosi and his wife Kathleen of Tribes Hill, NY; two great daughters, Jolisa and Shana; one great grandson, Adryan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Bell and many relatives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:30am at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Broadway, Fonda with the Rev. Patrick Gallagher, OFM Conv. as celebrant. Interment will be private at the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, 246 Manny's Corner Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or any animal shelter in her memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072.
