Mrs. Lois M. Roff Smith, 73, of Bleecker, died Tueday at her daughter?s home in Bleecker.
Born January 11, 1932 in Riverdale, NJ she was the daughter of the late Uriel and Dorothy DeGraw Roff. Mrs. Smith was educated in New Jersey and New York City schools, and has been a resident of Bleecker since 1990.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, Lois was a devoted family person, always the caregiver to family and friends. The ultimate shopper, she took bargain hunting to new levels, searching far and wide for that certain something a family member or friend may need some day. Well known and respected, she will be sadly missed.
Survivors include her husband: John R. Smith Jr. of Bleecker whom she married on April 25, 1959. One son: Gary R. Rowe of W. Milford, NJ; Three Daughters: Karen Ann Hopper and her husband Paul M. of W. Milford, NJ; Linda J. Monks and her husband Bill of Sandyville, WV; and Penny Wiater and her husband Ronald of Bleecker. Fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two nephews and a neice also survive her. Mrs. Smith was pre-deceased by a sister, Shirley Redner.
There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation took place at Parkview Crematory, Schenectady. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice , 108 Steele Ave. Ext. Gloversville, NY 12078.
Arrangements are by the Kobuskie - Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
