Robert G. Siegle

Robert G. Siegle, 78, formerly of Amsterdam, NY passed away on Friday at Palatine Nursing Home where she had been a resident.
Born on August 28, 1926 in Catskill, NY he was the son of Frederick and Luella Coons Siegle. Mr. Siegle was a lifelong area resident an attended local schools.
Mr. Siegle worked as electrician throughout the area for the local union in Schenectady for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion post 337 in Broadalbin, and was a member of the 40&8. He was also a former member of the American Legion post 701, Amsterdam.
Survivors include his wife, Freida M. Siegle; a step-daughter, Karie Cook of Ft. Plain; a brother, Harold Siegle and his wife Lilliana of New Jersey; a granddaughter, Stephanie Cook; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Tom Siegle.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam. The burial will take place in the Saratoga National Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday before the service from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Palatine Nursing Home, 154 Lafayette St. Palatine Bridge, NY 13428 or to the American Legion Post 337, 19 North Main St., Broadalbin, NY 12025.
