Thomas J. Kiskis, 74, of Milton Avenue, died peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2014 with his family by his side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on November 21, 1939 he was one of eight children born to Joseph and Veronica Kiskis. A lifelong city resident, Thomas was educated locally and joined with the United States Army, serving proudly from 1960-1966. He was employed as the night manager of the Mobile Station on Route 30 North. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Danny, Patrick, Marion, Sally and Millie. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Pearl Waterman Kiskis; three children, Angela Brian Carroll Nichols of Burnt Hills, NY, Joseph Amber Kiskis of Cleveland, Ohio, and Perry Katrina Razzano Kiskis of Pattersonville, NY; five grandchildren, Derek, P.J., Jason, Lucas and Kira; one sister, Victoria Quinn; and several cousins. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 12 noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. Burial will follow at 1:30p.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Relatives and friends are invited and may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital, P.O. Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
