Mr. William R. Rave, 45, of Park St., Gloversville, NY, passed away on Wednesday morning December 1, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with his family at his following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Cobleskill, NY on April 25, 1965 a son of Elaine Minch Nettleton and William M. Rave. He was raised by his mother Elaine Nettleton and stepfather Ronald Nettleton who currently reside in Randall, NY.
William worked for over 17 years as custodian at the Fonda Fultonville Central School. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing with his family and good friends.
He married Bonnie L. Barnes Rave on October 11, 1997. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Jordan Tyler Rave of Gloversville, NY. One daughter, Heather Elaine Rave of Gloversville, NY. One sister, Marie Warenda of Amsterdam, NY. Maternal grandmother Edith Minch. Nieces and nephews, Brittany Andrews, Kevin Reddiough, Barbara, Bobbie Jo and Casey Irvin. Kayla Romaine, Shyane Barnes, Cherokee Barnes, Jordan Barnes, Savannah Shaut, Brenda Simek, Christopher Vanasse, Preston Blake, Beth Paige. Aunts, Uncles and cousins also survive. Mother in Law, Patricia Ann Barnes, Brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Lacinda Irvin Jr., Phillip and Barbara Andrews, Stanley and Callie Barnes and Lisa Vanasse. Special friends, Howard Paxton, Greg Bonafee and fishing partner Tim Haskell. Great nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife Diane Weller.
Funeral Services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078.
