Judith Mcmillan
March 8, 1935 — April 10, 2018
Mrs. Judith H. McMillan, 83, of Canajoharie, NY died peacefully on April 10, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hopsital. Born in Hinsdale, NH she was the daughter of the late Rex and Eda Higgins.
On August 18, 1956 she was united in marriage to William “Stan” McMillan. Together for over 60 years, they had a wonderful life together built on faith, love and music.
Judy was employed for the Ilion School District and the Canajoharie School District as a music teacher until her retirement. She served as the Director of the Orchestra and Strings as well as Director of the Performing Arts. She was also an active member and past president of the Canajoharie Library Board of Directors. Judy was also a member of the White Iron Stone Collectors Association and the Reformed Church of Canajoharie.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stan; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Judy was predeceased by her siblings, Ken, Harris and Phyllis.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2 o’clock at the Reformed Church of Canajoharie, 19 Front Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317 with Pastor Matthew Draffen presiding. Private burial will take place in the Canajoharie Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Music Program at Canajoharie High School.
