Lawrence E. Wilson, 84, of Northville, NY passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2026 with family at his side.  He was born March 21, 1941 in Gloversville, NY to the late William and Blanche (Hall) Wilson.

Larry was a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. After graduation, he served in the US Army and later, took over the family business, Peerless Tanning in Johnstown NY, with his brother.

In addition to his parents, Larry is predeceased by his brother, William Wilson and his sister, Mary Miller.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife Susan and their two daughters Laura Strober (Michael) and Lynsay Wilson; as well as his three grandchildren Max Strober, Jed Strober, and Ella Strober.

Larry raised his family in the Adirondacks, a place that reflected so much of who he was. The mountains, lakes, and forests weren't just a backdrop to his life; they were part of his identity. He taught those around him how to truly see and appreciate nature.

Larry will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of family, and the quiet lessons he passed on.

Keeping with Larry's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger, and Stewart Family Funeral Home.
