Larry Dean Fry

May 9, 1953 — May 8, 2026

Dear Family and Friends,

I am writing to share the news of the passing of Larry Dean Fry. Born to John and Helen Faie Fry on May 9, 1953, in Longmont, Colorado, Larry passed away on Friday, May 8, just one day before his 73rd birthday. Per his wishes, Larry passed away at home, and no services will be held.

A lifelong resident of the area, Larry lived in Hygiene from the age of two and attended Hygiene Elementary, Longmont Junior High, and Longmont Senior High. In 1971, he enlisted in the United States Army . Following his discharge, he returned home to Longmont.

Larry was a skilled craftsman who dedicated his career to the housing industry. His passion for woodworking led him to master scroll sawing, through which he created intricate portraits, ornaments, and tributes to his beloved dogs. His dogs were his family and a constant source of comfort. An avid outdoorsman, Larry hiked many of Colorado's peaks, followed NASCAR, and participated in roll-overs at the Colorado National Speedway in his youth. Many will also remember him riding his motorcycle, which he specially modified so his dog, Delia, could join him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Raie. He is survived by two sisters, two daughters, many extended family members, his neighbor Phil, and his dear friend Lynna.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hayla, the hospice team, and the ICU staff for their dedicated care.

Best regards,

Lynna Daniel
