Lois Ann Davis
Dec 27, 1946 — Jun 26, 2026
Annie Davis, 79, died 6/26/26 in Longmont,Co after a very brief illness. Her family and friends are feeling the huge void.
Annie was born in Monte Vista, Grew up and lived in Leadville, with a midlife lark to Albuquerque. She also resided in “Bunea” for many years. Her relatively recent move to Longmont was primarily to be closer to her grandkid, Vincent. She helped out with a great deal of school pick ups and activity taxiing. She loved getting the kid after school: “oh pick up after environmental club is the best; he’s so chatty.”
She was a quilter and constantly working with patterns and colors. But possibly her best craft was story telling. She often had a backstory that was adjacent to a given occasion. She liked local history and countryside drives.
Annie was a good friend and made connections with many sorts of folks. She was an excellent listener and always ready to ‘act as a sounding board’. Behind her kind demeanor was a dry, observational humor that balanced her general sweetness. In a family of talkers, she was the middle kid who listened, but could also deliver a summary judgement with an economy of phrasing.
