Christopher George Brooks

Christopher George Brooks passed away April 19, 2026 after a short illness in his adopted hometown of Lincoln, California. Chris was a man of many interests that inspired him to run in 13 marathons, captaining his sailboat (“Klimmin”) while racing in Seattle, Washington, adventuring with sailing long distances, golf and cycling throughout Washington and Oregon. In 1997, Chris met the love of his life, Betsy, and they married in 1999 in Nevada City, California. Chris excelled in academics (Valedictorian of his high school class, Bachelor’s Degree from University of Washington and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Oregon) and enjoyed a successful career in sales of software and ERP systems. Chris is preceded in death by his father Carl Brooks, mother Ruth Jackson, step-father Jack Jackson, sister Janis Nelson, and brother Greg Brooks. Chris is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy) Brooks, nephews Richard (Theresa), Robert (Jancy), sister-in-law Mary Jane Eck, sister-in-law Patricia Luther, brother-in-law Tom Luther, 2 great nieces, and poodle babies Spencer and Ruby.
