Donald Duffy
July 16, 1936 — March 11, 2022
Donald Duffy passed away surrounded by his family on March 11, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born July 16, 1936 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He grew up in Yankton, SD and was a graduate of the University of South Dakota and proud member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Soon after his graduation, he met Charleen Colvin, swept her off her feet and quickly secured her hand in marriage. They were blessed with 62 years together.
Don had a successful career with Johnson & Johnson for nearly 30 years. He retired as Chief Financial Officer of one of the J & J companies and moved to Arizona. He and Charleen enjoyed golf with friends, traveling the world and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Don will be remembered for his intellect, quick wit, generous heart, and his love and devotion to his family.
Don is proceeded in death by his father Frank Duffy and mother Dorothy Duffy Hawkins. He is survived by his wife Charleen, son Thomas Duffy and wife Christina, son John Duffy and wife Kim, and daughter Kathleen Duffy. He was the proud grandfather to Daniel Duffy, Tara Duffy, Jay Threadgill, Lauren Duffy, Kaleigh Duffy and Sean Threadgill. He is also survived by his sister Mary (Duffy) Witt and sister Jeanne (Duffy) and her husband James Gustafson.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 11:00 am.
