Hector G. Castillo

August 19, 1931 — February 5, 2026

Hector Castillo, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. He was 94 years old.

Born on August 19, 1931, in Twin Buttes, Arizona, Hector lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and a strong work ethic that defined his character. His early years in Arizona laid the foundation for a life of resilience and commitment.

Hector proudly served in the United States Army for two years and saw active duty in Korea. His military service reflected his deep sense of duty and patriotism—qualities that remained with him throughout his life.

A hardworking man who always put his family first, Hector was known for providing steadfast support and care to those he loved. He shared a long and loving marriage with his wife of 72 years Evangeline. Together they raised four sons: Robert (Linda), Lawrence (Laura), Ronald, and Mark. Hector took immense pride in his growing family and found joy in watching it flourish across generations.

He was the proud grandfather of RD, Sarah, Melissa, Jimmy, Amanda, and Austin. His legacy continues through eight great-grandchildren who carry forward the values he held dear.

Outside of his devotion to family and work, Hector found great enjoyment in staying active. He was an avid golfer and fitness enthusiast who embraced physical activity as a way of life well into his later years. Whether on the golf course or maintaining his health through regular exercise, he approached each day with energy and purpose.

Those who knew Hector remember him as a loyal friend—someone who could be counted on for support and companionship. His presence brought warmth to every gathering and strength to every challenge faced by those around him.

May Hector Castillo’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived.
