Irene E. (Schaufler) Icenogle

Irene E. (Schaufler) Icenogle, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Tucson, Arizona on July 27, 2025.

Born in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania, in 1931 to Eva (Koerner) and Lloyd Schaufler Sr., Irene spent 70 wonderful years in Pennsylvania before retiring to Arizona with her beloved husband of 42 years, Clifford.

Irene was a proud graduate of Stroudsburg High School, Class of 1949, and dedicated 33 years of combined service to Mickels Motors and Diversey Wyandotte in Stroudsburg. She cherished time with her family and had a special place in her heart for her loyal pooch, Missy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley O’Boyle. Irene is survived by her husband, Cliff; her brother, Lloyd Schaufler; stepdaughters Terrie Cross, Jeanne Rivard, Susan Possinger, and Kelly Risinger; her nieces Sheri Montgomery and Ressa Watto, great-niece Athena Poole; great-nephew Jake Montgomery; many other loving nieces and great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews, grandchildren, cousins; and all who were touched by her kindness.
