Norman A. Ross

ROSS, Norman A. was born in Brooklyn, New York, March 15, 1931, and died at Peppi's Hospice May 20, 2017. Norm served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After the war, he attended the University of Nebraska and Drake University. After his first job wih Look magazine in Des Moines, IA, Norm and his family moved to California where he opened advertising and sales promotion agencies. After selling each to national companies, Norm became a consultant with clients in the states, as well as Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He also taught Marketing at universities in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Victoria, BC. After moving to Tucson in 2003, Norm became active in veterans organizations. He was a member of the Arizona Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA), serving as State Commander 2011 and 2012; Jewish War Veterans; American Legion Post 7; and VFW Post 549. He served on the Tucson Veterans Committee, started KWVA chapters in Tucson and Green Valley, and volunteered with the Foss Institiute to students about the Korean War and patriotism. In October 2010, he was inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame. Norm is preceded in death by his sons, Jonathan, David and Scott, and by his step-granddaughter, Rachel Ann Bungarden. Norm is survived by his wife and soul-mate, Cornelia Anne Skelley Ross and a sister, Edis Hall. Other survivors include: step-daughters, Lisa Bundarden and Marnie Roth; step-grandsons, Adam and Drew Bungarden and daughter in-law, Lisa Longet, widow of son, Jonathan. A military service will be held at the Arizona Veteran Cemetery in Marana, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
