In Loving Memory of Ricardo David Cota-Robles

Ricardo “Dickie” David Cota-Robles, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at age 84, with his loving wife Patti and his cherished daughter Tori by his side.

Dickie attended Tucson High School where he and his friends started a social club called The Chasers. He remained close to these friends for his lifetime.

After high school, Dickie attended the University of Arizona. He worked for many years in the HVAC industry, retiring in 2007 as a Field Superintendent. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, U of A sports, and he took great pride in supporting Patti and her non-profit organization, Era of Peace.

Dickie and Patti connected for the first time when he asked her to dance at the Rodeo Dance in junior high school. Dickie was twelve, and Patti was eleven. They dated throughout high school and college and married on April 4, 1964.

Dickie and Patti had two children: Joao and Tori. He was a loving, compassionate, and present husband and father. Family was extremely important to Dickie, and he genuinely enjoyed spending time with his parents, brothers, nieces, and nephews.

Dickie is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia “Patti” Cota-Robles; his daughter Tori Cota-Robles; his grandchildren Dylan Cota-Robles, Hayden Cota-Robles, Griffin Cota-Robles, Dexton Ratchford, Wylder Ratchford, Revel Ratchford, and his great-grandson Cash Cota-Robles; his brothers Corky (Linda) Cota-Robles, Jerry (Kathy) Cota-Robles, and Lenny Cota-Robles; and many precious nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eva Cota-Robles, his brother Armando Cota-Robles, and his cherished son Joao Cota-Robles.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 26th at 10:00am at St. Pius Church located at 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo in Tucson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the non-profit organization Tucson Family Food Project Organization, founded by Dickie’s nephew Steven Cota-Robles.
