Sandra Lee Worstell Rowland, 67, of 7343 Calle Infinito, Tucson,AZ passed away peacefully Friday, September 2, 2016 at her residence.
Born January 22, 1949 in Vincennes, Indiana she spent her childhood growing up in Lawrenceville, IL and graduating from LTHS in 1967. Continuing with her education she earned an Associate's Degree from Vincennes University and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana State University. After working for various businesses within the tri-state area she joined AAFES(Army and Air Force Exchange Services) as an accountant in 1987 and worked for them until she retired in 2009.
She was married to Pat Rowland who proceeded her in death, as well as her parents, Charles Henry Worstell, Jr. and Mary Lee (Kellams) Worstell, and also a brother Bill Worstell.
She is survived by a sister, Beverly Sue Hetland and husband Ace of Cody, WY. In addition to her sister, she is also survived by four nephews; Heath Worstell and wife Dana of Powell, WY, Bron Worstell and wife Rita of Lawrenceville, Lance Hetland and Ginger of Magnolia, TX, and Dusty Hetland of Springfield, VA, as well as four great nieces and one great nephew.
She is also survived by five step children; Christine Acree and husband Todd of McDonough, GA, Gina Rowland of Atlanta, GA, Todd Rowland and wife Judy of Cleveland, TN, Travis Rowland of Jackson, GA and Rick Rowland and wife Dana of Floyds Knob, IN.
Sandra will be remembered as a person who lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel and would always lend a helping hand. Sandra's final resting place will be in Danville, VA with her husband.
