Andrew "Andy" Winslow

Andrew “Andy” Parker Winslow passed away on February 10, 2024 in Chico, CA at the age of 53. He was born on November 19, 1970 in Santa Barbara, CA to Thomas and Mary (Goonan) Winslow. Andy graduated from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA, where he had excelled in sports. He graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts. He then went to Utah State University for a Bachelor of Science and earned his Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University. Andy moved to Chico in 2017 where he worked for rehab facilities as a speech therapist for elderly patients. Andy was married in Long Beach in 2004 where he fathered three children. He was an exceptional father to his children and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a lifelong love of sports, as both a spectator and participant, and enjoyed playing golf when he had free time. He liked to spend time at the beach, in the mountains and in parks with his children. Andy was involved in Boy Scouts where he achieved his Eagle Scout Award in 1988. Andy was predeceased in death by his father, Thomas Parker Winslow. He is survived by his wife Cristina, their children Samuel, Anna, and Charles; his mother Mary; his sister Amy (Derek) Noble and their children Devin and Haley; his sister Nancy Gray and her daughter Maya; his brother Matthew (Katrina) Winslow, sons Jacob (Santanna) and their children Alexis and Liam; Connor Winslow, Addison Winslow, and step-sons Sam, Jack, and Ben Hall; an aunt, Nancy Winslow of San Diego, CA; and many cousins. A memorial was held at 10:00AM on Saturday April 6, 2024 at Brusie Funeral Home in downtown Chico, CA. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Andy’s name to NAMI Butte County.
