In Loving Memory of Bertha Hansen

With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, mother, great-grandmother, and friend, Bertha Hansen, who peacefully passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 90.

Bertha was born on December 15, 1935, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Throughout her ninety years, she lived a life rich with love, compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She possessed a quiet strength that carried those around her through life’s greatest joys and hardest moments. Her gentle heart, warm smile, and kind spirit made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

To know Bertha was to know unconditional love. She found her greatest happiness in caring for her family, celebrating life’s milestones, and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She taught by example that kindness costs nothing, family is everything, and love is the greatest gift we leave behind.

She leaves behind generations of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories she created and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in each of us through the values she instilled, the traditions she passed down, and the countless lives she touched.

While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life, her beloved husband, Neil “Skip” Hansen. Though they spent time apart here on earth, we can only imagine the joy of their reunion in Heaven. Together once again, their love story continues beyond this life, reminding us that true love never ends.

Although we will deeply miss her laughter, her wisdom, her comforting embrace, and her unwavering presence, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with her. She leaves this world having lived a life that mattered, a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Bertha’s memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew her. She will remain in our hearts, in our stories, and in the traditions she helped create.

“A mother’s love, a grandmother’s embrace, and a beautiful soul like yours never truly leaves. Love like yours becomes part of us, guiding us until we meet again.”

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
